Abstract

Diploma thesis deals with the influence of grain size on the minimum ignition temperature of a dust cloud and dust layer. The theoretical part explains the basic information related to dust and its combustion and explosion. There is also a list of fire technical characteristics of combustible dusts. Components of theoretical part are also descriptions of the methods used to measure the minimum ignition temperature of dust. The practical part is first described the preparation of samples, sieve analysis and determination of the medium grain size. After that, the work deals with the description and interpretation of measurements and evaluation of the results.
