Abstract
The main aim of this thesis is the design and practical realization of the second concept of the electrohydraulic brake system for demonstration vehicle Democar. The design is implemented with respect to the requirement to provide a braking effect in case of vehicle failure. This funcitonality is realized by electrohydraulic subsystem of emergency brake. The practical implementation is focused on the design of the overall concept of the braking system, including the emergency brake. This concept includes development of the control unit and application software. The subsequent extension of application software will be the subject of development by PhD students.
In the introduction, the other electronic systems of the Democar vehicle are clearly described. In next chapture, the concept of braking system is designed. Here are defines the requirements for the braking system, the individual components (sub-systems) and components, in particullar the innovative control unit and the emergency brake, are analyzed. The practical implementation is divided into a part describing the design of the electro-hydraulic brake system and the development of the application software. Part of the thesis is also the functional output of the braking system to be found in the experimental verification chapter.
