Abstract

BENEŠOVÁ, Silvie. The matter of people evacuation from selected departments of healthcare facilities situated in high-rise buildings. Ph.D. thesis. Ostrava: Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of the Safety Engineering, 2016. 140 p. Thesis supervisor Ing. Isabela Bradáčová, CSc. This dissertational thesis deals with the problems of person evacuation from the hospital ward blocks in high-rise buildings of medical facilities. The goal of the thesis is to create a proposal for a concept system approach and to establish a subsequent supporting methodology and tools used for planning and implementation of evacuation of people with impaired mobility, based on data collection and analysis. Data gained by half-quantitative risk analysis method in FH Brno and questionnaire collection applying CLA in the field of readiness for evacuation in selected faculty hospitals in the CR, including FH Brno, were used for the implementation of the thesis. High return (92.85%) of questionnaire investigation was reached. The acquired data were processed using SWOT analysis and verified in practice by model evacuations of FH Brno, department L, where mainly ward blocks are localised. The research reveals real positive and negative factors influencing the course of evacuation of the hospital ward blocks. Based on the acquired data, a preparatory algorithm for preparation of optimization of current evacuation plans in hospitals could be established. The outcome of the thesis is a newly built methodology for establishment of evacuation principles in medical facilities with ward blocks, which can be used by the processors of the evacuation and traumatology plans in arbitrary hospitals as part of the model evacuation planning for facilities classified in LZ2 group (according to ČSN 73 0835).
