Abstract

The work deals with the issue of provisional sheltering of the population using family houses located in the zones of emergency planning. A potential sheltering residences in the Czech Republic and the current state of construction of the houses from a structural point of view were mapped in detail. Subsequently, an analysis of the threats in the areas of emergency planning was made and opportunities of provisional sheltering in the family houses were described. Furthermore, the physical properties of building materials were analysed and various options of protective properties of the family houses from the structural standpoint were evaluated. In conclusion, the theses designs a safety rules for the usage of the natural protective properties of the family houses in the emergency planning zones intended to shelter population.
