Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with design of controlled compensation for substation 6 kV in area Třinecké železárny. In the first part of thesis there is the theoretical analysis of industrial power distribution systems and options power factor correction in substation of the rolling-mill semi-finished products and coarse profiles. The practical part is focused on the analysis of measured data of operation rolling-mill including their compared with compatibility levels and selection optimal option compensation. The design itself is directs on switching power factor correction system. There is dimensioned main cable and the basic elements of compensation devices, which are fuses, vacuum contactors, detuned reactors, capacitors and power factor regulator. The last chapter contains technical and economic evaluation of design compensation focused on investment demands of project solution.
