Abstract

The work is focused on inert gas injection into the ladle, its importance for steel micro-cleanness and the study of the influence of the state of the bottom plug on the intensity of the blowing. In addition to that, the thesis deals with the problem of open eye formation, its on-line control and influence of the intensity of the blowing and viscosity of the slag on the size of the open eye and the extent of slag entrainment into the steel mass.
