Abstract

This Bachelor thesis focuses on the assessment of air pollutant occurency and effects, especially on their harmful and negative influence on human health. The theoretical part contains the basic classification of pollutants, while the practical part of the thesis includes the assessment of air emission and pollutant situation in the area of the city of Ostrava. The next part of the thesis analyses the effects of air pollution in relation to human health. Then the thesis evaluates allergic diseases occurence rate in the Ostrava City area and its municipal district of Radvanice and Bartovice.
