Abstract

The thesis is aimed at issues concerning range of independent and transferred competence of municipality. The aim of this thesis is to generelly illuminate competences of municipalities, specify the specific expressions and apply general knowledge to a particular community. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter defines the general public corporation, then the community. The second chapter is aimed at the competences of communities, devoted to the municipal authorities and legal enactments which are emited by the municipality in its business issues. In the third and last chapter the gained knowledge are applied to the municipality Křtomil.
