Abstract

Radomír Ščurek, Ph.D. The bachelor thesis is focused on the assessment of the influence of airbag vests on the safety of motorcyclists. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the basic theory within the topic of airbag vests. Specifically, the legislation and standards, information illuminating the basic information about airbag vests, the function of airbag vests and their triggering. In the practical part of the thesis, the risk analysis of incorrect triggering of vests and a questionnaire survey are conducted to analyse the public opinion in relation to the introduction of airbag vests as an obligation to be used in traffic by motorcyclist. The thesis concludes with a discussion of other possible uses of airbag vests in other professions.
