Abstract

The main target of this work is to define the theoretical concepts associated with labour market and migration, perform a search of the empirical literature dealing with impact of immigration on the labour market and practical analysis of the evolution of immigration and the individual characteristics of immigrants in U.S. The whole work is split into three chapters, and as well as on theoretic and empirical part. In the first (theoretic) chapter I define specific and related theoretical concepts concerning the labour market, migration and individual migration theory. In the second (empirical) chapter I am doing a search of the empirical literature dealing with impact of immigration on the labour market. In the third (empirical) chapter I describe development of immigration and immigration policy in USA and requirements on the U.S. labour market and general and personal characteristics of immigrants. In conclusion I summarize the impact of immigration on U.S. labour market.
