Posuzování vlivů zařízení pro energetické využití komunálních odpadů na životní prostředí v České republice

Abstract

Dissertation is focused on the environmental impact assessment (E.I.A.) of waste incinerators and facilities for energy utilization of waste in the Czech Republic. The dissertation deals with the analysis of the environmental impact assessment process and provides an overview of existing legislation in branch of the environmental impact assessment in the Czech Republic. In this part is also explained the terminology of energy utilization of waste including their advantages and disadvantages. Furthermore, the methods of thermal processing of waste which with energy utility of waste is closely related and eventually values of the energy use of municipal waste. Next part of dissertation includes information concerning environmental impact assessment of existing and planned waste incinerators and facilities for energy utilization of waste in the Czech Republic. The last part of the dissertation includes the main areas of problems of the assessment of planned plants for energy recovery from municipal waste on the environment and includes the suggestions of improving of the environmental impact assessment process in the Czech Republic.
