Abstract
This thesis deals with problems related to measurement of inrush current in halogen lamps and implementation of such measurement using LabVIEW environment. It compares the measurement results achieved using a measuring card and a digital oscilloscope. It also discusses the reasons for early termination of the halogen lightbulbs' life and the ways of its extension in practical applications. The thesis contains measurement and comparison of the inrush current in halogen lightbulbs in situations when a smooth transition circuit is used and when it is not.
