Abstract
In this work, I focus on recycled concrete, specifically from recycled construction debris, as a substitute for concrete made from natural aggregates. This recycled concrete, called Rebetong, began to be produced in the Czech Republic by Skanska Transbeton, s.r.o. in 2021. I address this topic due to a potential future problem with the shortage of natural construction aggregates mined in the Czech Republic. This could be caused by the fact that old deposits are becoming depleted and new ones are not opening. Therefore, recycled concrete could be a good alternative and the future of construction. The goal of my work is to focus on the state and issues of natural aggregates in the Czech Republic and introduce the future of recycled concrete following the Rebetong from Skanska. Subsequently, I will compare this recycled concrete with conventional concrete made from natural aggregates and conduct a comparative tests of compressive strength. Additionally, I will compare the savings in natural aggregates and finances when using recycled concrete on a specific project.
