Abstract
The aim of this thesis was to take stock of emissions and air pollution situation in Třinec region. The regional area is considered to be problematic in terms of major stationary sources, especially the most frequent excesses of suspended particulate matter PM2,5, PM10 and benzo(a)pyrene. The analysis was carried out on the basis of data provided by the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute. Were reviewed and discussed the prerequisites for the creation of Low-emission Zones.
