Věra Holubová, Ph.D. The diploma thesis deals with creation of a securtiy project for the protection of people and property in the shopping centre. The theoretical part focuses on the protection of soft targets, the comparison of soft targets with hard targets and the function of the Police of the Czech Republic and the citizen in ensuring the safety of soft targets. It also provides an overview of strategic documents and methodologies of the Czech Republic focusing on soft targets and counter-terrorism. The practical part contains a description of existing security measures and a crime analysis. By surveying public opinion and identifying possible modes of attack, innovative proposals for security measures are proposed using risk assessments.
