Větrání kabelových kanálů s aplikací na podnik ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s.

Abstract

The presented thesis deals with ventilation of cable tunnels at ArcelorMittal Ostrava steel making company. The ventilation is either natural or forced. In the case of fire, ventilation is conducted by means of mobile devices available with the local fire brigade. The introductory part discusses the physical principles enabling the motion of the air mass inside and outside buildings, the connections between the principles and their effect on the total airflow speed. The following part deals with ventilation in the cable tunnel and the influencing effects. It assesses the efficiency of various means of ventilation and different designs. The conclusion evaluates individual means of ventilation and determines their effect on the overall ventilation.The objective of the thesis is to compare various means of ventilation and suggest changes that will make a fire more efficient and safer to smother.
