Abstract

The Diploma Thesis is focused on comparison of selected properties of slag aggregate and natural aggregate in recipes prepared on the basis of Portland cement and alkaline activated blast furnace slag. In mixtures was used as filler the slag aggregate from Koněv heap in Kladno and commonly available natural aggregate from Tovačov and Hrabůvka. The aim of this work is to verify whether slag aggregate can be used in hydraulically binded mixtures based on traditional Portland cement as well as alternative binders based on alkali activated blast furnace slag. In the first phase of the experiment the basic physical and mechanical parameters of the prepared mixtures were determined, and the durability properties were verified. In the final part, the composition of the aggregate extract and its influence on the properties of the prepared mixtures was investigated. In the last part of the experiment, slag aggregate was tested for disintegration in the autoclave when this test was conducted in an external company. On the basis of the results obtained, the slag aggregate from the Koněv heap can be used as a filler in hydraulically stacked mixtures subject to specific conditions.
