Ochrana obyvatelstva proti bleskovým povodním

Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with problems of protection of inhabitants against flash floods. The work is divided into five parts. The first part specifies rain, flood distinction, protection against floods and law regulations of the protection. The second part is focused on origin and progress of flash floods and there is a chronological list of floods in the past. The third part deals with activities and duty fulfilment of Czech Hydrometeorological Institute. The fourth part analyses the torrent flood in Novojičínsko in 2009. In the fifth part I suggest some forestallments based on the analysis of the situation in Novojičínsko. A part of the work is also the analysis of risks by the method of a check-list for the city of Nový Jičín. I will find out the level of the city alert for another possible flood by the analysis evaluation.
