Abstract

The aim of the diploma thesis on the topic "Financial Performance Evaluation of the Retail Chain" is to evaluate the performance of the selected company with the fictitious name OBCHOD, s.r.o. and subsequent valuation of the value of its equity capital. The first part of the thesis focuses on the theory of traditional and more advanced methods of evaluating company performance. The following is a description of the cost of capital, predictive models, and business valuation methods. The second part contains the characteristics of the company and its competition. This is followed by the application of theoretical methods to the selected company. In the last part of the thesis, there is an overall evaluation of the results of the financial analysis of the company.
