Abstract
About 10 million tons of fly ash are released from power plants in the Czech Republic each year. Only one third of these finds further use. The aim of my thesis was to determine the possibility of further use of fly ash as a sorption material for CO2 capture. Methods of chemical modification carbon units, including oxidation, nitration, and the introduction of aminogroups were examinated.
