Abstract

This dissertation thesis deals with switch reluctance motor and its control. The main objective of this work is the application of the modern method to drive switched reluctance machine without using sensor of velocity. The work shows measurement procedure of the magnetization characteristics of the engine, principles of torque production and a theoretical torque characteristic. Several significant sensorless methods and their main advantages and disadvantages are presented. In this work is description of switched reluctance motor for simulation purpose. Simulation section includes classical simulation in Matlab-Simulink and the modern simulation method Hardware In the Loop, which allows debugging of program directly in the microcontroller without using a real stand with switched reluctance motor. Using HIL simulation method was designed and tested control algorithm sensor and sensorless control of SRM with a simulation model of the machine. Experimental verification of the nonlinear observer method was performed using 16 - bit digital signal processor MC56F8037 from Freescale. Next there are a described of basic properties of the control system. Experiments were performed with four-phase switched reluctance motor SR90. The last part shows the simulation and experimental results of this work. The conclusion summarizes the results of this work.
