Abstract
The presented dissertation thesis deals with a new view of the so-called moldavite-bearing deposits in southern Czechia, for obtaining other accompanying products and thus a comprehensive use of their potential. It offers the possibility of using waste clays as well as accompanying possibilities of use in addition to the moldavites themselves and other jewellery stones. A special feature is the research focused on the presence of rare earth elements (REE) contained in waste products from the process of wet treatment of gravel and fine fractions with ilmenite contents. The findings can lead both to a change in the technology used in the processing of new deposits of moldavite-bearing gravel sands, and to the expansion of the use of these deposits. These findings can thus positively affect both the economy of mining itself, but above all, a change in the attitude of the state institutions involved in permitting further surveys and mining activities with regard to the strategic interests of the state.
