Abstract
This thesis deals with the hardenability of steels of different chemical composition. Describes application Jominy hardenability test, which is used to determine the hardness according to EN ISO 642. It focuses on comparing the hardenability of steel and its microstructure. In the theoretical section describes the different types of heat treatment such as annealing, quenching and tempering. In the experimental part deals with the hardenability of steel C60, 37MnSi5 a 19452.
