Využitie štrukturálnej pomoci EÚ na Slovensku prostredníctvom Operačného programu Životné prostredie

Abstract

The main aim of Diploma thesis is to explain the EU Cohesion Policy and methodology of project management in the EU. The partial aim is to analyze the Operational Programme Environment and to use this knowledge on the example of a specific project.

The Diploma thesis is divided into four chapters. After first chapter, introduction, followed by a theoretical chapter, which is focused on Cohesion Policy EU´s development, objectives and instruments. The chapter also presented the methodology of project management in the context of EU. The third chapter focuses on environment. This theoretical chapter is devoted to protection and quality of the environment in EU and Slovakia. Through Operational Programme Environment, the successful project can obtain a financial contribution, so the main part of third chapter consists of an analysis of this Operational Programme Environment. The fourth practical chapter contains s socio-economic analysis of Žilina and Predmier, where the project will be implemented. This chapter is a major part of the diploma thesis because of the project idea Composting in the village Predmier, whose main objective is to reduce the negative impacts of landfills on human health and ecosystems. It is a real project which will be made to the current call announced by Ministry of Environment of Slovak republic.
