Abstract

This thesis tried to determine the actual market competition level of a company selling thermal and electrical energy. Prices for thermal and electric power are constantly rising, drawing new companies to market which expect high profits. Due to this reason it is important for any company to understand its position on the market and try to strengthen its ability to compete. I have chosen for may work a company called Dalkia, a.s. The level of competitiveness of this company was determined through two research methods - the benchmarking method and mystery e-mailing method. The analytical part of this thesis evaluates the selected company and its competitors followed by assessment of the actual level of its competitiveness in relation to its competitors. The next chapter offers several recommendations that may used to strengthen the company's ability to compete.
