Abstract

This thesis deals with the testing of new collectors on the basis of pyrolysis oil sludge in the flotation of coal from the mines Darkov and Karvina Lazy, owned by the Ostrava-Karvina Mines, Inc. This company is the sole producer of hard coal in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part describes general principles and the importance of flotation, flotation reagents and their effects, factors and conditions affecting the flotation process, the process flotation, flotation of coal, the pyrolysis process and description of locations where the samples come. The experimental part describes how to work in testing samples of floatation method, including the spreadsheets and evaluate the results. The aim was to test on two samples of sludge from coal mines Darkov and Karvina Lazy nine pyrolysis flotation collectors and provide results. For best results concentrate yield and ash content was achieved with a sample from the mine while Darkov experimental attempt number two, which was subjected purification flotation concentrate. The sample from the mine Karvina Lazy was less good, which yields results testify and ash in both experimental trials. All nine flotation collectors for my experimental work and tests results are not dramatically different from the results arising from a certified flotation flotation reagent Montanol 551. Flotation tests were conducted in a laboratory flotation VŠB - TU Ostrava.
