Abstract

The topic of my diploma thesis deals with mixing of digester tanks. Sludge treatment as an important part of bigger municipal waste water treatment plants (WWTP is described in the theoretical part of this thesis. Next part of theory dedicates to anaerobic stabilization of sludge at WWTP. Mixing of digester tanks is analysed at the end of the theoretical part. The various methods of mixing are described, attention is mainly focused on mixing by agitator CyberSludge®, product from INVENT company, and this product is compared with competitors. Knowledge from theoretical part and research of finished investigation of mixing of digestors are used for practical part of diploma thesis. The full-scale experiments were focused on determination of influence of interval of mixing (different regimes of temporary mixing) on biogas production. There were monitored three digestors equipped with the CyberSludge® agitator and the data from them were evaluated. Along with the evaluation, there is also a recommendation for operation mode of agitator.
