Abstract
The theme of this bachelor thesis is the detection and prediction of surface defects on
rolled products. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics and causes of defects in the
casting of continuously cast billets and steel rolling, detection and transfer of defects. The
practical part is dedicated to the analysis, correlation of defects and then the creation of an
original catalogue for the prevention of defects.
