Abstract
The aim of this Diploma Thesis is to analyse impacts of the integration processes in the Central America region and main integration efforts and their expresses. Focus on Free Trade Area DR-CAFTA and eventual creation of Customs Union from the CACM.
Diploma Thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter defines theoretical definitions: small economy, developing economy and poverty, which are closely connected with this region. Defines region from geographical, political and historical view. The second chapter characterizes various integration efforts and expresses of the Central America region from gain independence to presents. The third chapter analyses in detail real impacts of DR-CAFTA and CACM on the Central America states. For the balanced view, the problem is solved from the supporters and the opponents of this integrations.
