Profitability Assessment of a Selected Company

Abstract

The bachelor thesis is focous on the financial analysis of a company in the luggage industry. The main objective of the bachelor thesis is using the finacial analysis methodology to find out the real condition of Samsonite Company from 2008 to 2012and the factors that result in this condition. In the theoretical part, the documents used in financial analysis and the four main financial analysis methods are described. In the pratical part, the financial analysis using general statements and finanacial ratios is performed. Finally, the pyramidal decomposition of ROE is conducted and the final reason of the changing of ROE is found out.
