Abstract
In 2005 the Czech Republic entered The European Union Emission Trading System (EU ETS). This system results from the Kyoto Protocol and is designed to
limit greenhouse gas emissions and prevent global changes to the
climate.
The aim of my bachelor’s thesis was to clarify and evaluate the nature
of CO2 emission allowances and to attempt to ascertain the extent of the influence
of emission allowances trading on the economy of the TEPLO BRUNTAL joint stock company.
