Abstract
The objective of this bachelor thesis is the measurement of the activity of the anthropogenic radionuclides in the environment. Samples were collected from several layers of soil at a location close to Bohuňov municipality, in Svitavy district. Detection equipment provided specializes in gamma spectrometry. Specific activity of radionuclides 134Cs and 137Cs was evaluated, depending on the depth below the surface, along with contamination of the surface by these radionuclides, including the analysis of migration rate of cesium into deeper layers of soil. Significant inhomogeneity of the surface contamination by the isotopes of caesium in the researched location had made the verification of radioactive decay law impossible.
