Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on designing and developing a web application that serves as a directory to scientific journals listed in the Journal Citation Report service of Web of Science. The goal of the thesis is to create a user-friendly application that allows for the creation and maintenance of a catalog of journals, updating the order of journals based on the latest rankings measured in the Journal Citation Report, linking to electronic libraries, or displaying selected categories with the option to sort items by metrics or other properties of the journal. The application will integrate the calculation of points in the RIV methodology and display quartiles or deciles. The result of the thesis will be the creation of a functional application with an intuitive web user interface.
