Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the use of mobile elevating work platforms, man baskets and working platforms with the use of a forklift trucks. The first chapters characterize the work at heights and the conditions that must be fulfilled for its safe usage. Afterwards, the thesis begins to focus on lifting equipment used to transport people and describes in detail the dangers, which are associated with them. The aim of the diploma thesis is to propose an internal company regulation for safe work with the mentioned machinery and to propose a simple way to check the requirements set out in this regulation before starting work.
