Abstract
The aim of my bachelor thesis is to design and implement a laboratory task for accurate temperature measurement, especially for sensitive measurement of temperature changes. Measurement is carried out using the ADT7420 temperature sensor using the Xilinx Spartan-6. The programmable gate array is located on the Digilent Nexys3 development board. The PmodTMP2, which is connected via the Pmod connector, is used for the measurement of the temperature. The logic designed in the gate array communicates with the temperature sensor via the I2C bus. The logic design for the laboratory task is written in VHDL. In the ISE Design Suite 14.7 development environment. In addition, the bachelor thesis contains an overview and description of semiconductor temperature sensors and analog-to-digital converters.
