Abstract

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the evaluation and analysis of the healthcare sector in the Czech Republic during the period 2016–2023, with an emphasis on staffing capacities and the remuneration of healthcare workers. The aim of the thesis is to provide an overview of the development of healthcare workers jobs across individual regions and within the Czech Republic as a whole. The thesis is divided into six chapters, which include a theoretical definition of key healthcare concepts, research methodology, analysis of capacities and remuneration of selected categories of healthcare workers, and a subsequent evaluation of the obtained data.Horizontal and vertical analysis used in the practical part highlights significant differences in staffing capacities and remuneration between the regions.The capacities of health workers have been increasing with slight fluctuations during the monitored period, but the capacity of selected health workers stil does not correspond to the set conditions of the heathcare systém. The development of wages and salaries shows an increasing trend, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.Recommendations include regular updates of working conditions, reflecting regional differences, and support for the professional development of healthcare workers.
