Abstract

The thesis focuses on the optimization of casting defects of foundry technology from theoretical and practical perspective. The work consists of two main parts. The first part discusses the current state of the problem, the theoretical description of the defects and its optimization. Further part contains theoretical calculations of gating, feeding and description of modern tools for the casting optimization. The second part focuses on the practical use of simulation software to detect the causes of defects and their optimization. Section describes the results by comparing several versions optimized technology. Subsequently, it is described the production and evaluation of the test casting.
