Udržitelnost a cirkulární ekonomika v podniku z odvětví výroby potravinářských výrobků

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis focuses on sustainability and the principles of the circular economy within a manufacturing company in the food industry, specifically the company Váhala a spol., s. r. o. The theoretical section defines the fundamental concepts of sustainable development, corporate social responsibility and circular economy. The practical section is dedicated to analyzing the production of various types of waste in the company during the period 2020–2024. The relationship of the waste to the company's operational indicators were analyzed as well. Particular emphasis is placed on the issue of plastic packaging, for which a specific reduction proposal is introduced. The thesis includes a calculation of the environmental and economic impact of this proposal, including savings in CO₂ emissions and packaging material costs. The outcome is a recommendation for optimizing packaging management in a way that supports the sustainable development of the company without a negative impact on product quality.
