Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to examine the effectiveness of various protective equipment against UV radiation, including sunglasses, sunscreens, and clothing. The theoretical part includes a description of the properties of electromagnetic radiation, as well as the properties and sources of UV radiation. The experimental section involves the use of laboratory equipment to determine the optical properties of protective equipment, including transmittance and reflectance, and to determine the UV radiation shielding capacity of cosmetic preparations. The results of these experiments will be used to evaluate the effectiveness of different types of protective equipment in shielding against UV radiation and to provide recommendations for future research in this field.
