Křižovatka silnic I/58 a III/4806 u obce Petřvald

Abstract

The subject of this bachelor thesis is the modification of the intersection of roads I/58 and III/4806 at the village of Petřvald. In the first part, an analysis of accidents and conflict situations is carried out. The work includes a traffic survey to determine 50-impact traffic intensity and traffic intensity prognosis for the prospective year 2042. The status quo is assessed at capacity for existing and prospective intensities. Two variations of the modifications are proposed, namely the conversion to a circular junction and the addition of the existing intersection by turning lanes for left and right turns. Subsequently, both newly proposed options are assessed in terms of traffic capacity and viewing conditions. Simulation models are created in PTV VISSIM program for the status quo and newly designed variants. At the end of the work, the most suitable option is selected using a multi-criteria assessment. The aim of the work is to propose a solution that will lead to increased traffic fluency and safety.
