Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to determine factors that have influence on economic entities, in terms of motivation or demotivation, which are considering entering the labour market from state of unemployment. The next aim is to prove or disprove the hypothesis, which says that amount of the social benefit, which can be drawn by unemployed people, is higher than wages of low-income groups, which are paid to people who work. In each chapter, there is used descriptive analysis to describe the labour market, social and tax system of the Czech Republic. For stated model groups, net monthly work income and net monthly income paid by the state welfare system were specified. Comparative approach was applied in order to identify boundary of motivation for entry into the labour market. Based on facts of the thesis it is obvious that higher number of entries into the labour market is influenced by the value of time and relationships in family. The hypothesis has been disproved because in no model group the social benefit amount exceeds the wages of low-income groups. It is essential to enlarge difference between work income and income paid by the state welfare system.
