Abstract

This thesis describes the issue of waste management of materials containing nanoparticles, thein clasification and management. This issue is currently at the very beginning, there are still no uniform guidelines or classification for this type of waste. Thesis is divided into two parts – theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is focused on defining the basic terminology and characterization of nanomaterials. Theoretical part describes in detail the impact of nanomaterials on the environment or human health. It is also focused on the possible way of dealing with waste incineration. In the practical part I deals with the assessment of ecotoxicity monitoring light inhibition of bacteria Vibrio fischeri nanoparticles ash from municipal waste incineration plants in Austria. By measuring've shown that when separated sample per fraction below 13 microns has an increased content of hazardous elements effect on the inhibition
