Simulace klimatických jevů a denního cyklu ve virtuálním světě projektu Other Kosmos

Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the design and implementation of a system for simulating climatic effects and the daily cycle in the virtual world of the Other Kosmos project. The aim of the thesis is to extend the existing game environment with dynamic elements that increase the visual variability of the world and provide a better representation of changing environmental conditions. The thesis focuses on the simulation of selected climatic effects, including rain, snow, wind, fog, and storm. The solution also includes cloud generation and its influence on the overall atmosphere of the scene. Another part of the thesis is devoted to the design of the daily cycle, especially the movement of the Sun and Moon, changes in lighting conditions, and the color atmosphere during day and night. The proposed solution is implemented into the existing architecture of the project in Java using the LibGDX library. The functionality of the resulting system is verified on specific scenarios that demonstrate the behavior of individual effects and their connection to the daily cycle.
