Abstract
This bachelor thesis examines the employment of people with disabilities and its goal is to analyze how the employment of these people functions in practice. The theoretical part defines fundamental concepts, the legislative framework, vocational rehabilitation, contributions provided for the employment of people with disabilities, and the rights and obligations of employers. The practical part is focused on the analysis of a selected anonymous employer in the sheltered labor market and on the evaluation of a questionnaire survey, the aim of which was to understand their work environment and perspective on employment. The main finding of the thesis is the importance of an employer’s individual approach to the needs of employees with disabilities and the necessity of adapting their working conditions. The results of the questionnaire survey emphasize a friendly and humane approach, empathy and respect for the health of employees. The thesis confirms the importance of a sheltered labor market and its stability for people with disabilities. At the same time, it points out the existing support for the employment of these people. However, their actual employment largely depends on the individual approach of employers.
