Abstract

This thesis deals with fire safety requirements for thermal insulation of buildings using mineral fibre materials and it describes the behaviour of rock wool during a fire. First part shows the problems of thermal insulation of buildings and of mineral fibre insulating materials. The other parts describe rock wool behaviour during a fire, fire safety requirements for thermal insulation of buildings and the assembly of thermal insulation of buildings using mineral fibre materials. The last part deals with checking the thermal insulation and mistakes that can influence the spread of fire. This thesis is a summary of fire safety requirements for thermal insulation of buildings using mineral fibre materials and it contains an analysis of rock wool behaviour during a fire.
