Implementace Configuration a Asset Managementu v podniku Česká pošta s.p.

Abstract

This diploma thesis is engaged in analysis and design implementation one of primary IT service management processes in an environment of Czech Post company. The company decided to implement one of most popular IT service management process frameworks – ITIL, for achieving more effective ICT management. Service Asset and Configuration Management (in previous ITIL versions known as Configuration Management and IT Asset Management) is among key processes in this framework. In the analysis and following proposals for implementation I took into account on both ITIL „best practices“ and company’s specific requirements and designed decomposition of process deployment into three successive phases. This successive deployment and operation of these phases from the simplest to the most complex provides „quick wins“ to company mangement and also provides acquainting employees with process and get used to changes in Service Asset and Configuration Management process.
