Abstract

This thesis will focus on an insight into modern industrial technologies that have become key to the automation and control of industrial processes. The company Ingeteam Inc. introduced in this thesis has given me a closer look into the issues of control systems and automation. At the same time, it showed me how working in a team works and guided me through my first experience of working in the industry. Working with PLCs, SCADA systems and Tiaportal is a cornerstone for effective manufacturing process control, thanks to its ability to optimize industrial processes and improve plant performance. Understanding concepts such as Hardware System, I/O Sheets, Tags and Screens in HMI simulation is essential to successfully working with Tiaportal and creating a user-friendly environment for monitoring and controlling industrial processes. This thesis also focus on specific software tools such as WinCC, TRITON and WinMOD that bring another dimension to visualization, monitoring and simulation of industrial processes.
