Abstract
This diploma thesis deals with the basic procedures of power networks modeling with the use of educational version of the DAISY Bison Designer program. The theoretical part describes the electrical model of the network in relation to the used software, including the mathematical derivation of the Newton-Raphson method, which the software uses to solve the steady state of the network. The theory also explains the problem of fault conditions, especially short-circuit currents and the method of their calculation. In the practical part of the thesis, there is a detailed instruction for the network modeling, compiled according to a map material and a sample solution of partial tasks pursuant to the text assignment. In the supplements, there are other variants of the map materials along with the basic solution of the steady state of the network. The practical part is further extended by the solution of the steady state of the network while the network is powered from two sides. Furthermore, there is also to be found the use of the software to solve short-circuit conditions in the electrical network.
