Abstract

The diploma thesis is focused on the EU financial assistance for the development of the business environment in the Czech republic and the Slovak republic. The theoretical part describes the options of business support of the European Union and structural policy of the Czech and Slovak republic. Thesis in its practical part deals with the use of structural funds which can be applied to support the business. The main goal of this thesis is to describe, analyze, compare and evaluate the system of structural funds for entrepreneurs in the Czech and Slovak Republic. As well as to get information about the opportunities of structural funds, the state of submitted and approved projects aimed at promoting entrepreneurship in the Kosice region of the Slovak Republic and in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. The analysis was based on statistical data from European and national institutions in the programming period 2007-2013.
