Abstract

In the process of globalization emerging markets mean new investment opportunities. Currently they can make benefit from financial crisis because lot of changes. There is one open question, which country or countries will be the leaders in the world financial market. The aim of diploma thesis is analysis of investment opportunities in emerging markets. It is divided into three parts. First part describes advantages, disadvantages and principles of investment in emerging markets. It includes Markowitz model of efficient portfolio that is used for analysis of portfolios of emerging markets. The second part describes the macroeconomic situation in emerging market area, its development till today and some vision for the future. The last part includes view on the concrete stock exchange indexes and compares efficient portfolios according Markowitz model for each region of emerging markets.
